TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective date: 30 August 2026

About these terms

These terms govern use of the Market Cross Dental website, online enquiries, bookings, deposits and treatment payments.

Market Cross Dental is operated by:

MARKET CROSS SMILE STUDIO LTD
Company number: 16555473

These website terms do not replace an individual treatment plan, consent process, finance agreement or other written clinical agreement.

Private referral practice

Market Cross Dental is a private referral practice providing planned restorative, implant and related dental care.

Patients must have and remain under the care of a current general dental practitioner, or GDP, who is responsible for their routine examinations, preventive care and general or emergency dental treatment.

Market Cross Dental does not replace the patient’s regular GDP and does not provide a general emergency service. We may request the name and contact details of the patient’s GDP before accepting or continuing care.

Referral to the practice does not guarantee that a particular procedure will be clinically appropriate. Recommendations can only be made after an appropriate assessment, medical history, diagnosis and discussion of available options.

Opening hours

Our normal opening hours are:

Tuesday: 10am–3pm
Thursday: 10am–3pm

Appointments at other times may be offered at the practice’s discretion and by prior arrangement.

Information on this website

Website information is provided for general information and does not constitute a diagnosis, individual treatment recommendation or substitute for examination by a dental professional.

Treatments, timescales, suitability, risks, benefits and likely outcomes vary between patients. Before-and-after images show individual cases and do not guarantee that another patient will achieve the same result.

We aim to keep information accurate and current but may change website content, services and indicative prices without notice.

Consultations

A £50 deposit is required to secure a consultation appointment.

The deposit forms part of the amount payable for the consultation unless we state otherwise before payment.

The appointment is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued by the practice.

Treatment payments

Before treatment begins, patients must either:

  • Pay 50% of the agreed treatment fee in advance; or

  • Have an approved finance arrangement in place.

The remaining balance will be payable according to the written treatment plan and payment schedule provided to the patient.

Laboratory work, custom-made restorations, implants, components or other items may require additional staged payments before they are ordered or manufactured.

Finance is subject to eligibility, approval and the separate terms of the relevant finance provider. Market Cross Dental cannot guarantee that finance will be approved.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Patients must give at least seven full calendar days’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Notice should be emailed to info@marketcrossdental.co.uk and takes effect when it is received by the practice.

Where seven days or more notice is provided, a consultation deposit may be refunded to the original payment method or transferred to a replacement appointment.

Where fewer than seven full calendar days’ notice is provided, or the patient does not attend:

  • The £50 consultation deposit will be non-refundable.

  • Any appointment deposit may be retained to offset the clinical time reserved and reasonable administrative or laboratory costs.

  • A further deposit may be required before another appointment is booked.

  • Any portion of a larger advance treatment payment exceeding the practice’s reasonable loss will remain credited to treatment or be refunded as appropriate.

Costs already incurred for custom-made items, laboratory work, planning, imaging, components or professional services may be non-refundable once authorised or commissioned.

The practice may exercise discretion in exceptional circumstances. This does not create an obligation to waive the policy in a later case.

Cancellation by the practice

We may need to change an appointment because of illness, equipment failure, safety concerns or another circumstance outside our reasonable control.

If we cancel, any payment relating solely to the cancelled appointment will be transferred or refunded. We are not responsible for indirect costs such as travel, accommodation, childcare or lost income, except where the law requires otherwise.

Delays and treatment changes

Complex dental treatment can be affected by healing, clinical findings, laboratory processes, component availability and changes in oral or general health.

If the recommended treatment, anticipated cost or expected timescale changes, we will explain the change and obtain further consent before proceeding.

Clinical outcomes

We provide treatment with reasonable professional care and skill. Biological healing and individual responses cannot be guaranteed.

Nothing on this website should be understood as a promise of a specific aesthetic result, treatment lifespan or complication-free outcome.

Online payments

Online payments are processed through Shopify and approved payment providers. Additional terms may apply when using Shop Pay, card processors or finance services.

Patients must provide accurate payment and contact information and must have authority to use the chosen payment method.

Refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s text, branding, layout, graphics and original images belong to MARKET CROSS SMILE STUDIO LTD or are used with permission.

They may not be reproduced, altered or used commercially without written permission.

Patient images must not be copied, downloaded, republished or used for identification, comparison, advertising, training or any other purpose.

Website availability and links

We cannot guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for external content, security, availability or privacy practices.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or breach of statutory rights.

Subject to that limitation, we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information instead of obtaining an individual professional assessment.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Privacy

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Questions about these terms should be emailed to info@marketcrossdental.co.uk.
