Clear answers about consultations, treatment and professional referrals at Market Cross Dental.

Consultations

Do I need a referral?

No. We welcome direct enquiries from patients as well as referrals from dentists and other healthcare professionals.

What happens at my first consultation?

We begin by discussing your concerns, priorities and dental history. A clinical assessment follows, with photographs, digital scans or radiographs taken when appropriate. We will then explain the available options and recommend the most suitable next steps.

Will I receive a treatment plan?

Following the necessary assessment and planning, you will receive a clear explanation of the proposed treatment, anticipated stages and associated fees. You will have time to consider everything before deciding how to proceed.

I feel anxious about dental treatment. Can you help?

Yes. Please let us know when booking. We take a calm, unhurried approach and will explain each stage before treatment begins.

Treatment and planning

What is Digital Smile Design?

Digital Smile Design allows us to assess your smile in relation to your face and plan potential changes with precision. Where appropriate, you may be able to preview or try a proposed smile before committing to treatment.

What is full smile rehabilitation?

Full smile rehabilitation is a carefully coordinated treatment plan intended to restore dental health, function and appearance. It may combine restorative, cosmetic and implant treatments depending on the individual.

What is full-arch All-on-X treatment?

Whether it's a product question, shipping concern, or you just want to sayhi we’re here for it. Fill out our contact form and our customer care team will respond within 24–48 hours (excluding weekends).

Can my treatment be completed in one day?

Some digital restorations and certain stages of implant treatment may be completed on the same day. Suitability varies, and we will only recommend this when it is clinically appropriate.

Professional referrals

How can a dentist refer a patient?

Dentists can use our dedicated referral form or contact the practice for guidance. Patient records and clinical information should be sent through the secure referral route rather than the general contact form.

Will you keep the referring dentist informed?

With the patient’s consent, we provide appropriate updates throughout assessment and treatment. Ongoing care can be returned to the referring practice as agreed.

What cases can be referred?

We welcome referrals for full smile rehabilitation, digital smile design, implant dentistry, full-arch implant treatment and other complex restorative cases.

What if my package is lost or delayed?

While rare, delays or delivery issues can happen. If your tracking hasn’t updated or your parcel hasn’t arrived within the estimated time, just reach out. We’ll work with the courier and make things right as quickly as possible.

Appointments and fees

How do I arrange a consultation?

You can book online, contact the practice directly or submit an enquiry through our contact page. Our team will help you select the appropriate consultation.

How much will treatment cost?

Fees depend on the complexity and individual requirements of each case. Following assessment, we will provide a written treatment plan and clear estimate before treatment begins.

Can I change or cancel my appointment?

Yes. Please contact us as early as possible. Appointments changed with less than 1 Week notice may be subject to a fee.

Urgent dental care

What should I do if I have a dental emergency?

Contact the practice during opening hours and our team will advise you. If you cannot reach a dentist or need urgent help outside our opening hours, contact NHS 111.

Call 999 or attend A&E for serious facial injuries, heavy bleeding that will not stop, or severe swelling affecting your breathing, throat or eyes.

Need more help?

If you cannot find the answer you need, our team will be happy to help. Please avoid including confidential medical information in a general website enquiry.
